This event goes far beyond golf—it’s about community, remembrance, and action. The Omaha Veterans War Memorial, located at Heartland of America Park, honors the brave men and women from the Omaha area who served in conflicts ranging from World War I to present-day military operations. Featuring engraved monuments and service branch insignias, it’s a solemn space designed to ensure future generations never forget the cost of freedom. At Cordia, this mission is deeply personal. With over 40% of our workforce made up of veterans, we see every day how military experience brings leadership, discipline, and resilience to our teams. Supporting events like this is one way we give back—not just to honor the legacy of service, but to actively invest in the well-being and recognition of those who served. This week, Cordia’s executive leadership team had the privilege of visiting Milwaukee to connect with community leaders, public officials, and key partners who are shaping the region’s energy future. Highlights included a tour of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, Inc. (MRMC) campus, operated by Ever-Green Energy in collaboration with leading healthcare institutions—thank you to everyone who welcomed us and shared their vision. We also hosted an open house at the Harley-Davidson Museum, LLC, where we had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about the future of energy and critical infrastructure in Milwaukee. In 2024, Cordia reached a major milestone in Omaha by transitioning all plants to run on 100% Nebraska wind power. This shift enabled the delivery of carbon-free chilled water to institutions like Creighton University, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and innovation in urban energy systems. A local sustainability committee also played a role in making this shift possible, demonstrating what’s achievable when cross-functional teams come together with a shared purpose.
